  • I've got H&B racks and hard cases. They've been great until this year, when one of the bolts holding the frame to the bike sheared. It's a bugger of a job to drill out without taking the back wheel off, but I am finally the proud owner of a 90 degree drill adapter and a set of left-handed drill bits, so hopefully I'm a step closer to a solution.
I love the hard cases though. Get yourself down to Muji and get some of these zip-up garment bags. They weigh nothing, come in tons of different sizes and make packing things in panniers really easy.

  • not that I'm down with vigilantism but the zero fucks given here did amuse me:

  • I'm on the hunt for a good (£2,000) blackbird if anyone sees ones. Fi.

  • I did my CBT yesterday in Milton Keynes. Riding a 125 at 5omph when everyone else is doing 70+ is not ideal. DAS here I come!

  • I did my CBT on Monday, was spent riding at 20mph around crystal palace

  • Do love the Z6's - that looks like a late 70's B model, slightly older would also have a kickstart - super noise, super fun, proper motorcycle - the white seats a bit wrong for me though, only white things should be dials and occasionally, knuckles.

  • They're great bikes. I used to lust after them. Unfortunately, they've become a bit slow and heavy by today's standards.

  • Is Don still working there?

  • Does anyone have any suggestions for motorbike storage?

Ideally it would be easily accessible from North London and open weekends. They would also be able to have some sort of servicing option.

    Any thoughts?

  • Rent a lockup in a storage place?

  • It's for my dad, so I'd rather it be a place with people he can interact with.

  • I try to avoid that. No help!

Going to look at a blackbird tomorrow. Will mean I have to sell the SMT. Shit that thing still makes me smile ear to ear.

  • I've been trying to open a spot like this up my way, more for bicycle but also space for upto 10 motorbikes, not full service kit, but space for you to wash down and tinker a bit. Keep finding reasonable units but as soon as they get wind of wgat the business will be (I.e not a vape or betting shop) They can't fob me off quickly enough, likely gonna have to buy premise, which ups the risk (and therfore cost to end user) massively. Expected insurance to be the killer but it's actually not terrible

  • Boom.

  • Pics of said time warp machine required stat!

  • Cleaaaaaaan torpedo machine! I know it's apples and oranges, but how is it compared to the KTM?

  • smooth, easy to ride.

riding an inline is a revelation after a twin and an angry twin at that.

I love a twin, but for daily commuting duties, this is perfect.

  • Prudent purchase - happy motoring.

  • Nice Bird! Lovely sophisticated mile smashers.

I rode my XR cross town to the Venice Beach vintage bike show today. It was mostly sideways. Every T junction, every second gear corner. Can't help it.

LA has a lot of unsurfaced back alleys that parallel the main streets so ended up tearing down some of those, generally roosting everything.

Dirt bikes on the street are hilarious. Impossible not to ride like a twat.

  • Fast, smooth, reliable & pretty good handling for such a beast. The only thing I find a bit weird on them is the "linked brakes". Cool bike though, enjoy!

  • Yeah, was unsure about the lined brakes but seems okay yesterday. I very rarely use the rear anyway, so I don't think it'll matter.

So reliable and needs so little servicing.

  • Nice!

Was there quite a lot of these made at the time or have they maybe jist survived better than other bikes? Seen about 1.38 trillion of them out this summer (might infact be the same black, a blue one and a silver one over and over again). Always thought they were a lot of machine for not much money

  • They're bulletproof. I'd also guess quite a lot were made.

Mine's on 50,000 and pulls like new, such good condition.

    Apparently 3.1k left. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=Honda+cbr1100xx&commit=Search
