FS Gios Torino Super Record

As above Gios Torino Super Record - First Generation 1973-1977, bought this from a Dutch forum member some years ago for £200, was in a tatty state with evidence of some rusting to the B.B. cutout and one of the top -tube brake cable loops , the chrome on the fork had been removed . The rear brake bridge has been drilled out for Allen key brakes and the rear drop out adjuster screws have been snapped off .
I have repainted the FS trying to match the correct shade of blue as possible using standard RAL colours
The decals are after market but look very good.
This FS could be fully restored by GIOS in Italy. Or could be enjoyed as is .
    Size 54 St 54 Tt

    £200 collected from West London

  • Beautiful frame and excellent price. I have a similar Super Record purchased from Holland a number of years ago and Gios prices seem to have become very inflated since...so good deal this:)

  • OOh! I used to have one of these a long time ago & have always wanted to get another one.

Dibs on this then & I will PM

  • Sold?

  • I must say old chap you are some what out of order going to Retrobike to scope out whether or not I sold you the genuine article Gios frame set , also more than a little peeved that one you used my pics to post on retrobike ,and two I did tell you that I had plenty of period Campagnolo components to suit the frame , I have a complete mint Chorus 7 speed GS including wheels , stem , seatpost ,handle bars and saddle, which for a bargain price of £200 , would have covered your requirements perfectly.
If you are not happy with the Gios ,please return it and I will happily refund you the £200 you paid for it.

  • I've seen this bike in person, and it's definitely a Gios, around 76-78? The bottom bracket cutouts are genuine, far too hard to copy, drill holes in the drop outs, panto'd forks. Was a bargain.

  • I have never had any doubts about its authenticity, not sure what else I can say

  • The thread on Retrobike is just about asking advice on alternative groupsets, nothing else. I have removed your photos though.
