  • But you've been able to split the screen to see 2 apps at once for ages. Which I never remember when it might actually be useful.

    All I have noticed with Oreo is that settings, colours and notifications have slightly changed again.

    Oh and while I got it before Oreo, still confused why Google Assistant seems to be additional and separate to existing Google Search/voice search/smart cards/whatever they called the ability to set reminders etc. With an American voice.

  • Well exactly, I always forget about it. Although you can't do it with two Chrome windows, e.g. foreign cycling video feed in one and English text commentary in another. I guess you could get round that by installing another browser through.

  • Hang on, you completely can. Just split the screen, then from the Chrome menu, you can make a tab 'move to other window'. Well that makes it a bit more useful.

    Although it only seems to work in one direction, that menu option does not appear in Chrome on the 'secondary' screen.
