Ah right! Seems like a much better system than having to spend £150 on the shittest equipment known to man.

The new system is worse. You actually have to buy the equipment and it's yours to keep. Having to buy things before you start work just seems like that start of a pyramid scheme.

Whereas with the deposit you could return it all and get your money back.
