As @M_V says: If the bike is pre-August 1986 it doesn't need indicators. Mirrors are not compulsory.

Post-86 if you have no provision for carrying a pillion passenger you don't need them either. It's enough to have no rear footrests even if you have a dual seat. The loophole is there to allow enduro/trials bikes to be used on the road between sections/stages but is equally applicable to the trackday/chopper/cafe racer crowds.

Seen some bloke regularly on my commute who rides a cafe racer type thing. No mirrors or indicators.
Is that legal?
