I will take that off your hands as a "see if this will actually work in my flat."

the other option is to pull up the carpet and run two ethernet cables to the rooms where the wifi is weakest and plug in an extender..

No need, you can get extenders which utilise the mains wiring in your house as per my last post.

Cool. I may also have a set of ethernet over power adapters as well. I'm around all week doing dad stuff. Let me know when you can swing by
