Well if I can fix the problem without having to send back the battery, wait for a new one etc I'll favor that. Plus the shop that built the bike (and I guess would handle warranty etc) is now even further away from me than it was since I moved. Eugh electronic shifting...

On the flip side, if you fanny about with it, don't fix the problem and find it has to go back anyway, you've just wasted more time.

Can swap in a different battery to test it immediately?
