The provincials have been set to ignore, it clears up my "forums" page. Much like boffas I now have cycle training on my home page.

People just don't really ignore people.
Most people ignore by ignoring rather than banishing.

any notifications and updates triggered by their activity won't appear on your following screen
I still see posts from ignored users on the 'updates' & 'today' pages.
Being of limited ability, I often click on these threads, expecting fresh pearls of wisdom - only to find that they thread ends with the same post that it ended with last time I looked.
I'm not sure if this is intended or not.

This does become particularly tiresome when one of the 'ignored' goes on a posting rampage.

Sorry, @TW

If you have someone on ignore should their private messages show in your in box and on your today page?
-
• #34
It won't remove from those pages any private messages you've already exchanged with them.
But it should prevent any new ones from appearing on that page.

When they "in reply to" or when they @reply or just when the conversation is bumped?
It should ignore notifications that are generated as a result of activity by ignored people. If that isn't happening I need to know which activities are triggering it so that I can go inspect the SQL that generates it.

Wasn't sure if I'd just overlooked replies to a couple of threads I'd both followed and ignored, but this thread has had plenty of replies which hasn't bumped it onto my following page.
Just checked and it doesn't show-up in a search either (following:true forumid:550).
Looks like "ignore" takes precedence over "follow".

Question:
I have ignored a number of things and forums to de-clutter my view and now want to re-arrange things.
I can't seem to find the "ignore" page anymore... how do I get there? -
• #39
No idea... I hope not.
And if you went overboard you can visit https://www.lfgss.com/ignored/ to un-ignore stuff.

Here: https://www.lfgss.com/ignored/
That link is on your own profile page.

I tried to ignore a section on the forum and then unignore specific threads within.
ie. I only want to see the Grand Tour specific threads of the rides and races forum. How do I achieve this?
-
• #43
If subscriptions take precedence over ignores, subbing might achieve what you want.
-
• #44
It doesn't
-
• #45
From my experience, ignoring a forum takes precedence over threads.
You need to unignore the forum and ignore the threads.
-
• #46
The other eay round would make more sense.
Or following overrides ignore would work too. -
• #47
But if you ignore a forum you can't unignore specific threads, because you haven't ignored them in the first place.
-
• #48
If I understand this thread correctly, I shouldn't see posts that reply to people I've ignored - right?
Because I can still see them...
-
• #49
No, I think that's right: the person posting isn't ignored.
I still see replies to the one (I think) person I'm ignoring.
I also see threads they start too, but only other's posts.

Ah OK. I also see them mentioned. Ho hum!
Speak for yourself. It's cheered me right up ^_^
I felt a little bit bad putting Manchester on ignore (it's mostly blameless after all) but after my ignore-spree last night now even the cycle training forum has found its way onto my front page. It's great.
