• Ok, RS-805 is now happily ensconced on the front, XTR on the rear has proven to required a banjo-equipped hose so I'm stuck again until the Chainreaction delivery arrives.

  • What size pdws should I get? 45mm?

  • coldharbour
@dancing james the best mudguards are pdw city, nothing comes close.

    45mm

  • I haven't got a pair yet, but @ad441 found some pdw knock offs that look good quality and cost 15 quid instead of the 100 quid (lol) RRP of the city's.

  • I know this thread is about bike production... But those cakes!

May need a day trip from London

  • I'll start a thread soon detailing when the cake days are next year.

Our guest annexe could accommodate large groups of people or folks can camp in our woods or fields.

  • Man, that pavlova ...

  • I'm guessing I'm the only one putting 2007 Campagnolo Centaur on theirs...

  • 001 is done! (Apart from final steerer trim)
Rear brake mount is faced and the rotor runs perfectly now. We had a short (1km) ride to check everything is roughly in the right place then hopefully a longer ride this week to make final adjustments before our trip to Italy at the weekend.

Huge thanks to Matt and Caren for doing an awesome job, and for having the frame ready so we could pick it up when we were back in the UK. Harriet can't stop smiling!

Due to the tiny bars and stem I had to cross the gear cables under the downtube, but the Thorn cable guide from SJS keeps the cables from rubbing on each other. Tester top cap looks ace as well, picture doesn't do it justice.

Look forward to seeing everyone else's come together!

  • proper tidy. dibs on cat

  • Small bike or very big cat.

  • Update on where we are. Everything up to a 55 is welded, and just missing headtube badges, bridges and braze ons, these will be done just before paint, as the second it's got flux on it will rust.

About half way through and I've realised timings in theory were OK but I didn't take in to consideration life getting in the way, staff being ill, and also the accumulative time lost over little things like bottle changes, torch maintenance (ie me breaking perspex cup) and so on.

In the workspaces we have now we won't be doing batches this big going forward, it's not practical purely from a space point of view.

I wouldn't say I'm bored of welding as I love it, but fuck me it's a lot of fucking welding.

  • Looks awesome, apologies again about the bosses, but glad it was resolved quickly.

  • I wouldn't say I'm bored of welding as I love it

Well, it's either that, or start making bamboo bikes.

  • Haha, small bike and long cat!

  • lessons in batch production: Isens no 17-30; welded in Taiwan, hand painted in London...

  • Wonder what disingenuous sticker decal I could have knocked up... "designed in se19" with a massive union jack on the dt?

  • Seems to have worked for that chap with his crazy bagless hoovers.

  • Brexiteer bellend.

  • No rush on the 57s, stuck waiting for shimano to sort their supply chain anyway

  • staff being ill

    Outrageous!

  • I gave him it as well.
