Lovely lugless work, and hate to be a knob jockey but suspect the lack of cast bottom bracket shell allows a bit more flex in rear spacing without overly stressing chainstays,Bargain esp beoing 700/700

Pretty sure it's not a good idea to cold set 653?
Of the top of my head 653 is a mix tubing urban myth says was Merck's request.
753 rear stays.
Happy to be corrected on any of that.Edit

I don't cold set any of my good tubing vintage stuff so agree but was thinking the lack of lug got rid of a definite stress raiser allowing a bit of 'flex'

Such a good price
T.J.Quick 700/700 very light lo pro in silver and white. Tommy Quick was a well respected frame builder from Herne Hill London, this frame is fillet brazed with nice aero touches. This bike is a testament to his skill as a frame builder, it rides great very smoothly turns and tracks quickly and is very stable.
The frame was resprayed by Doug Empson and badged Empson, the original frame tubing decals were not replaced by Doug, the guess is 653 tubing due to the lightness, I have added a T.J.Quick logo to the frame.
The bike is set up at 5 speed rear the same set up I used when time trailing in the 80,s, using spacers on the block, the original was rear wheel spacing was 126mm I am using 130mm with no issues.
I was thinking about a cold set for the frame, but the wheel sits perfectly and has never caused me any issues in the few years I have been using this bike. You could use a campagnolo 8 speed ergo shifter if you wanted for a more modern approach to gear shifting.
The bike is very highly specked, the list of components are as follows.
Fillet brazed frame aero fork (headset unknown)
Cinelli stem and Mavic bars with rare black to white fade bar tape.
Modolo levers and Mach 1 brakes
Campag seat post, Isacaselle saddle
Dura Ace NJS 107mm BB
Dura Ace crank and Look pedals
Rare Reydel Chain ring
Simplex downtube lever
Dura Ace rear mech
Hope hubs and Mavic SUP rims, buttery smooth
Looking for £360
Best Andy
