One day the sun admitted,
I am just a shadow.
I wish I could show you
The Infinite Incandescence
That has cast my brilliant image!I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in darkness,
The astonishing Light
Of your own Being! -

Poetry is just prose that doesn't fill the lines.

You'd have to change "It was you." to "It was me."

I've never got grown adults arguing about the authenticity of music like they were teenagers.

I've never got this thread. why when no two people are alike are we freaked out when some likes something out of the ordinary. Especially when that item/thing is considered below average for what ever reason. Hence that person must obviously be stupid, and I must tell everyone of my superiority.
thread just full of holier then thou types. Can we not just argue about campag v shimano? -

Or is this thread just full of holier then thou types.

I think at one point this could have been full of passionate rebuttals and persuading arguments, but not anymore.

That doesn't even rhyme and sounds suspiciously religious. I've never got religion either.

Oh James, shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, and summer’s lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, and often is his gold complexion dimm’d; and every fair from fair sometime declines, by chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimm’d: But thy eternal summer shall not fade, nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st; nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade, when in eternal lines to time thou grow’st: So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, so long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

That doesn't even rhyme...
Therefore it is poetry; if it rhymed it would be doggerel.
