Rigid steel MTB - ready to ride.

  • Hello folks,

'Tis with heavy heart that my clearout continues. A change in circumstances means that this one has to go.

1987 Saracen Tufftrax, the rear brake cable runs inside the top tube. I had the frame and fork media blasted and powder coated sky blue then Waxoyled the inside of all the tubes. It was built up with new rims, headset, chain, cassette etc. It has a Tange MTB sticker on it because I had one. I've only ridden twice on hardpack since building it up, well under 100 miles.

The wheels were built by my wheel builder, I've had 5 sets of various wheel from him over the years. He chased the BB threads after powder coating too. All the other threads had a tap run through them after powder coating so nothing is bunged up with paint. It has mudguard eyes and pannier mounts.

Loads of pics available on request. I'm after £250 for this collected from Horsham (West Sussex, direct trains from London Bridge or Victoria) I'm happy to meet at Horsham station during the day or evening, weekdays or weekends. If you cover my train fare (£15 last time I did it) I can meet you at London Bridge or Victoria station on a Saturday, possibly a Sunday. I'd rather not post.
