Why do you feel the need to post the same comment twice on something you have no interest in?

Anyone who knows anything about Basso frames please can you comment here?

Basso frames are superb- the finish on them is the classic Italian dream paintwork.
Very much the Pro choice of frame very neat, very strong too.
No it's not a Colnago, but it certainly will do the same job for a lot less money

well , here i am ,dear bike lovers.
I'm from italy , and let me say something about "quality" of italian handcrafted bike.
Colnago has the name , has the brand. That doesn't mean that he did or does poor bikes , but you know , when you have brand ,when you have "name" , you can sell something not so good as something very good, agree???
There are only few colnago models that can be called "bici serie" (Serious bikes) , mexico first and second model , master and c40. These bikes were winning bikes. Mexico for Merckx , Master for Casartelli (unlucky phenomenon) and c40 for Bettini and Petacchi.
trust in my words and watch out carefully when you look COLNAGO decals...

Marino Basso was, first of all , a great biker winner of an incredible World cup...try to search on the tube "Basso Gap".
He won that race , finishing at Gap , and that's why the most famous basso bike model is named Gap.
This is a modern bike , for sure good , but sorry i don't have any aknowledgments about bike production post 1995.

GOsh man , i'm not a "pricer" here.....but what the hell....it's a Basso frame , probably of the end of '90 (or is the model viper vintage??) , made with mixed mode filet brazing and lugs , 220 gbp and you ask me if is it good??? come on dude don't ask and take it , if the size fits.

Thank you El_Diablo and allerocco, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge of these frames. I'm also surprised that so few people know how good these frames are, but then I have to admit that I also knew very little about these frames not so long ago. The frame is available but I will be away on holiday as of tomorrow until the 15th Sept so please bear with me until then as I will have limited access to emails. If you would like to dibs the frame during this time then I will honour this on my return.

"So the frame is a good one or not?" There is one, with a slightly damaged frame, going for current bid of 115 USD. It has nine speed Tiagra on it. It is a bit heavy at just under 10kg.
