I did and we didn't... The sellers were quite happy to fuck the sale up for $1k tho', they were expecting to get more than they did...

I asked myself the same question for a hot water thingie when I bought my place and there was no fucking way I was going back out looking at places for £1k so I asked but didn't push it. In the end it cost me half that to get it sorted so sucking it up and buying worked out for me.
