Love how he just chucked a bit of everything in. Doping legend.

if you haven't already checked this doco out, give it a watch
-
• #6431
It's like he walked into a body building gym like a olde sweete shoppe and just went "one of those, two of those, one of those, some of that, oooh four of those, um and one of them".

Should've been life ban for the EPO. How many people has he cheated out of places since 2007 admission?
-
• #6433
Does make you wonder how many drugs you'd have to do to get a lifetime ban.

GW1516? Didn't that rapidly give all the rats cancer during trials, was immediately shelved and never tested on humans?

"The side effect of this chemical compound is so serious that WADA is taking the rare step of warning “cheats” to ensure that there is complete awareness of the possible health risks to athletes who succumb to the temptation of using GW501516 for performance enhancement."
The guy is clearly a fucking meathead.

Leontien van Moorsel did epo, according to former team doctor, 7 pages in major Dutch newspaper Volkskrant, this is a Google translate link to Dutch news site nu.nl:

Ach No, not Leontien too :(
She seems quite sympathetic...He's dredging it up quite late? But not much info on nu.nl maybe something made him accuse her now.
-
• #6440
not Leontien too :(
Inga Thompson basically called Leontien a doper 3 years ago. Given the era in which she rode, EPO use is hardly surprising.

"Leontien van Moorsel— another girl whose performances in those years were also just completely night and day— was off the front. Longo was there, but she didn’t counter Van Moorsel over a long gentle climb. So I just punched it over the top, and when I looked back I expected to see Longo, but she was gone. I put my head down and caught Van Moorsel, we worked together for a little bit, but I just rode her off my wheel.
That race was never in the news, but I won’t forget it because I beat them. Maybe they were or weren’t on drugs during that week, but on that day, I beat them. "

Do we do none performance enhancing here? Looks like Zak Hardaker might get a couple of years for a bit of nose bag. Oof

It's banned in-competition, where it could most definitely be considered performance enhancing. Out of competition not.

I did assume out of comp.....coke has a short half life though and it was after a game. Still think it would be more likely he would have taken it in the days preceding a game. Playing cocked up in the superleague would be another level of stupidness.

That young British tennis player (Dan someone) got stung as well for it just before Wimbledon and booted out. Fair enough really.
-
• #6449
"Playing cocked up" = exactly.
Perhaps the level of cocaine metabolites in his system where high enough it was considered in-game usage.

So this long and winding story takes another turn, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/41899478
My mind has changed so much over the course of this investigation I no longer no what to think!
