Well you were right about that. But he said:

Our rims work with any brand of commercially available tubeless tape. Any of the popular brands work great, and we'll have more of our own soon.

So I'm none the wiser. By the formula @chiroshi came up with I'd need 22mm tape. But Stan's comes in 21, 25 or 27mm.

Should I go for 21 or 25mm?

Since you're doubling taping, you could run the thinner tape slightly to each side so the layers still overlap but reach right to where you need them without messing up the hook.

This is exactly what I did on Halo Vapour rims. Worked a treat. (Ignore my puncture problems, they are tyre side)
