All 3T bars I've owned, bar one pair of Rotundo LTD, have cracked at the clamp on initial installation at sub 3NM torque

We've been through this. UTFS.

Isn't there a law against that?
Oh, you mean drill, like drill as opposed to drill.

I would be getting the torque wrench calibrated with that failure rate.

I've had both shimano rs785 calipers fail on me this year. The rear started leaking fluid and was replaced under warranty, but had to pay for labour and a set of pads before I realised it was leaking. That was in NY. Currently near the end if my cross country your and changed my pads and realised the pison in the front was sticking. It sounded like there was grit stopping it from retracting and cleaning didn't help. Took it to a shop in Portland and he bled it and tired everything he could but said I'd have to Warrenty it. Front Brake is constantly rubbing which is driving me insane.
Sorry for the fairly irrelevant moan but I'm pretty pissed off as the whole thing is going to cost me nearly 200 dollars in labour and I'm v broke now. Assume there's no way shimano will cover the labour costs

I found my calipers gunked up and became sticky/ wouldn't fully retract. I had to clean the calipers and pistons.
Cleaning pistons was delicate - you don't want them to pop all the way out. I used isopropyl alcohol to clean. I then relubricated the sides of the pistons with hydraulic fluid (mineral oil). This resolved sticky pistons for me.

Wrong! Red grease, aka rubber grease!

I pushed them out before they popped out and cleaned them thoroughly with iso, No joy. The guy in the shop rebled cleaned and lubed them and it was still stuck. Seemed like something got through the seals. In other Portland news the dude who looked at brake was building up a beautiful firefly. Also went to look at the breadwinner work shop and ira the owner drew me a little map of how to get to the coast, very nice dude. The place is bike heaven. #boastpost

I realized my junction box was showing blinking green at midday, then solid red at the end of today's ride. Stuck the bike on a spinning gear and didn't shift anymore. Left the bike in the garage about three hours ago and now the battery is dead flat. That seems a bit quick a drain to me, no?
I should mention the battery was charged to 100% on wednesday evening and I've ridden at most 550km since.
Between that and the brakes pads that decided to self-contaminate overnight (leaky caliper?) I'm mightily annoyed.

I used disc cleaner spray. It worked for about a day and the sticking Magura piston came back. Now I have some IPA I might give it another go but I don't hold much hope. With a new pad in this morning I'll manually move the caliper over to stop it squealing. I'm going to get Shimano discs on this when the next pad set dies.

Sounds like a fucked battery or some kind of short. Should get thousands of kays from a battery charge.

• #2624
Okay, thanks. Well I guess I'm in for some debugging fun, wouldn't have thought I'd say that one day with a bike -_-

Warranty job?
Have you cracked them? Haven't seen any reports of problems.
