Pardon the newbie question but how can you tell whether this is a v1 or v3? Just curious since it isn't specified in the ad. Nothing is mentioned about which number the frame is and I'm guessing only v1 frames were stamped with those...maybe?

Good question, to be honest i dont know yet as I never own a v3 but V1 is on the way;)

V3 has bottle cage mounts
-

Ah, I see.
But are V1's frames the only ones that are stamped with a number?
-
• #5093
My v3 doesn't have a number on the bb
-
• #5094
V3s have a 27.2 seat post, don't v1 have a 27.0 ?
-
• #5095
From what I gather, the number is stamped on the non-drive side rear dropout
-
• #5096
No, v2's are stamped on the bb
-
• #5097
So it seems that:
V1: number stamped on non-drive side rear dropout; 27.0mm seatpost diameter
V2: number stamped beneath bb shell
V3: 27.2mm seatpost diameter; bottle cage mounts; no number on the frame (or at least not under the bb shell)

V3 are designed for 27,2 seatpost too..
I've got some NOS BMW 27,2 seatpost at home.. -

Doesn't the V2 also have a different fork?
