These are incredibly beautiful hubs but be aware that there have been a recall (unsurprisingly) from Zipp on some of these. I have a pair and when you have them in your hands you would be amazed how beautiful a bike hub could be made. To compare them to a 40,- pair just shows you have not seen these in person.
However, they are of course essentially the same, A shell, some bearings and an axle. One for the front one for the back. :)
