At least have the oil pump out, rake out the feed strainer and line, then get the pump properly checked for wear. Mine has done over 250k (diesel) and is still way above the threshold that volvo deem as "approaching wear limit. Consider replacement"
However I know a guy who killed his motor when one of the pump parts cracked and immediately failed, less miles than mine, but way more mods (he suspected his secondary after market oil cooler clogged, causing enough blockage to upset the pump but hard to prove)
Ok. Subaru 2.5 turbo rebuild. Talk to me.
Forged pistons and rods, new rings, new bearings and a bore and hone. Oil pump?
Head rebuild with new valve stem seals and valves lapped.
Rebuild turbo while i'm at it.
What else should I consider while the engine is open?
