  • Driving through Morden this morning is always a joy, but watching full kit wanker with helmet cam going through every red light, riding into oncoming traffic, going through ped crossing with peds trying to cross, was really galling to watch. Woe behold something happens to him.

Hope the cyclist I witnessed getting taken out by a non looking ped was ok, seemed both were moving when I checked in the mirror.

  • Was on this residential road with cars either side - he had to really squeeze past.

I must've been going quite close to 20 anyway - guarantee he was speeding as he flew over the bump.

  • Some cup-dangling Edwin dingleberry learner Motorcyclist got about 2 ft of air overtaking at bigly speed on Columbia road earlier. Thought (hoped) he might eat shit and ruin all that suede.

In other news; dry out, wet home.

  • Finally getting used to fixed, and really enjoyed the commute on it for the first time today. Not sure if I am correct in thinking this, but once I accepted you can't just gun it all over the shop and generally be calm about it all it just became much easier and less like trying to direct a river with a spoon!
    10/10

This as a rule for all the things!

  • Ride in this morning on the Rockhopper was slow and totes emosh, after 25 years in the family it's gone to a new home!

Still didn't stop some cuntbag in a 4x4 cutting me up then threatening to smash my teeth out but luckily my savage garden/james blunt/coldplay playlist kept me calm.

  • my savage garden/james blunt/coldplay playlist

    You deserved it tbh

  • Rockhopper must have a thing for 4x4s man!

Was heading back to the studio after meeting you I was about a foot from getting doored at old street by someone jumping out the back of a Range Rover without checking... Thank you for making sure the brakes were 10/10!!

    Also, Rockhopper is 100% awesome!

  • And that's what i deserve for trying to be funny! Imaginary playlist on the walkman i don't own for the run home will consist of Onyx/Gravediggaz/Necro.

Or maybe Mike and the Mechanics...

  • Yep, it gets proper rowdy! Glad you like it, i'm pretty sure you could mount a frame baseball bat on their somehow!

  • inb4 headphones whilst cycling bores!

  • The folks you meet in London.....Holloway Rd this morning. Kweke. Captain general major in the Nigerian army. S'true....

  • Held a trackstand for the entire cycle of a set of traffic lights.

    #fixiegoalz

  • They went red, amber, green, amber, red again? You must have pissed off the people behind you!

  • *Red, Red+Amber, Green, Amber, Red

  • Well it seems I totally took those last 6-8 weeks of school-run free traffic for granted.

  • my thoughts exactly!

  • Overturned police van on stoke newington rd this morning. Nice!

  • Well done!
I normally have to organise at least a few mates to help me turn over a Police van.

  • kind passer by helped me out after I discovered my mini pump was dead last night while fixing a flat in Peckham - if you're on here, I owe you a beer!

  • Motorcyclist swore at me for filtering to the right of a stationary bus (something like 'fucking stay inside the line') whilst filtering to the right of the same bus, albeit it behind me. The lane was clear, I popped out from behind the bus, he was coming from further back, he revved his engine which caught me by surprise, swore, overtook then continued to filter.

I thought there was some sort of two-wheeled solidarity but not, motorcyclists are cunts too.

  • Only sort-of commuting, but really fucked off to ride to Herne Hill velodrome for vets session this morning, and find at the end of the session that someone had walked off with my brake lever + caliper, that I'd left with my bag at track centre.

I'd stayed on the track with a couple of others after official session end, so the majority of riders had gone by the time I came to retrieve it.

Only people there in track centre were my fellow riders. Hoping someone had a 'senior moment' and took it by mistake, but that seems rather unlikely. Bottles/arm warmers yes, brakesets no.
