I'm thinking Clio. Revs and lightness over torque and outright speed.

No matter what, you'll want more torque in third gear.

Or do you mean there's a too big a hole between 2 and 3 so it drops out of the power band?

Maybe I should try one first.

I think that clio had really long first gear... If memory serves.

Anyway, fun car to keep on the boil through the twisties.
