What's this nonsense talk about newer rotors being worse?

Let me know if you know about the quality of new Rotors, but what I hear is that the old, pre-2015 ones with the ugly design (which I honestly quite like) - hold up much better than the newer version, regarding everyday use, namely skidding.
It seems like people have had issues with the crank arm coming away from the spider, because of the lack of reinforcement around the 4 screws which attach the crank arms to the spider.
@ekudduke Tood me a little about this, and has first hand experience. He HM said that he rode the old Rotors for 3 years and were fine for everyday usage, but, after "upgrading" to the newer model, he had to have them RMA'd under warranty 3 times, within a year. 3 of the new rotor track cranksets gave out within a year. There must be something wrong with them.

@ShutUpBlud hopefully they might have listened to consumers based on the various RMAs and fixed the issues
Primato crankset fitted on Lee Valley velodrome are the old version isn't it?
Hopefully Miche learned from their mistakes and the two new crankset differ from the past.
Your bike seems like is going to be treated well and won't be raced on (correct me if i'm wrong), just get what you can afford and which looks best for you. Get this crankset installed by a reputable mechanic and service the moving parts every 6 months.
