Breso: The white Cinelli posted by Gaston is likely MS.
Cinelli made a batch for the Soviets. -

yeah, Benotto's were like graded with numbers like, 400, 500, 2000, etc... they moved their factory to Mexico for cheaper labour, skill was lost and the frames were no good!! Benotto lost it's value. The top of the range frames (high number) were built in Italy handmade, a quick identity check for a Italian Benotto is the rear chainstay's. They're Diamonds like De Rosa Primato's.

I thought that in some cases the quality went up when they moved production to Mexico... ?

Benotto the builder married a Mexican woman, hence the move to Mexico.
When still in Italy in the 1970s he had his top builders trained by De Rosa. Francesco Moser rode De Rosas rebadged as Benotto at Filotex and his own Moser label. Some Benotto 3000 frames are identical to De Rosa frames of the 1970s, including the diamond chainstays and heart cutouts in the same places as De Rosa put them. -

Were all race pedigree frames in Europe in the 70s made by De Rosa? Lol and obviously those track frames rebadged as Nagasawa.

In fact, in the Giro d'Italia of 1974, an estimated 80% of all riders in the peloton rode on bikes which were built by De Rosa.
