argh! just read it this morning, I was in the cold & wet Vosges riding and not paying much attention. hope he has better luck next time (although fairly confident he'll do well in many GT's in the future)

TT today! Will Kelderman beat Zakarin and move back to podium chances? Thinking Nibali will drop out of the top 3 today
-
• #255
Really? Nibali is okay at TTs and has over a minute in hand on those two. I think he'll still be in a podium position at the end of the day.
Will Froome win the stage?
-
• #256
has over a minute in hand on those two
you are right, wishful thinking on my part. but they may both get much closer to him and do look fresher than Nibs
-

Froome seems pretty strong. I think he has got it in him but will he is the question. Couple big mountain stages coming up and has already got a stage win.
Also how genuine is Chaves. Very polite and down to earth. Says super a lot though!

Chaves
The size of him! Even I'd be a good climber if I was that small.
-
• #259
Chaves is relentlessly upbeat and positive, even after a stage or result that looks bad on paper he's got something good to say about his team or his rivals. I doubt there's a nicer person in cycling.

Less than 55kg apparently. What chance do the rest of us stand of getting a pro contract when folk have genetics like that? So unfair.
-
• #261
I wonder if Froome got a tailored version of the Leaders skin suit, as at the TDF. Or whether the lack of dimples will count for much over this distance..
-
• #262
Nibs is 2mins off the quickest at the first checkpoint.
-
• #263
The younger. Vincenzo not set off yet.
-
• #264
ohhhh! I did think that was a bit early.
-
• #265
Yes, that's Antonio Nibali, Vincenzo's younger brother.
-
• #266
They all look so fuckin slow on this mega-wide track
-
• #267
Wait til Froome comes past on his TT bike with the hidden motor.

Got the ES stream going at work, first thing I heard them say (about 40 mins ago) was that Rohan Dennis had pulled out of the Vuelta, is that right? Can't see him in the withdrawals list, nor have they mentioned it again (whilst I've had a headphone in).
-
• #269
He quit yesterday, I.e. the rest day. So he'll be down as a DNS today.
-
• #270
Talking of Dennis, when is he going to actually ride a GT for the GC? He's bigged up as a future GT winner by some, but doesn't seem to want to actually race one focusing on the general classification.
-
• #271
When there is a (relatively) flat one with more TT'ing?
-
• #272
Ah well that's screwed my velogames team. Any idea why he pulled out? Illness?
-
• #273
Ain't gonna happen.
-
• #274
Upper respiratory tract infection, apparently.
-
• #275
Keldermann smashing it at the moment.
Vuelta on the phone and tob on the telly. It was a bit confusing which domestic was who nieve poels kirienka kiawa . Apart from the green foliage in the background and one 3k hill or a 25k one.
