  • I know I said I'd never sell it but I've had a long hard think and have decided it has to go. I've had it for a few years now and it has done me well, through rain and shine. It's now time to say goodbye and for it to go to a new owner.

Here's some info from the original sales thread Including a response from Neil curtesy of @AMAC:

    *Hi Alex

The frame number is NA4590, it was made in 1996 just after the Manchester velodrome open, it was built as a pure track frame with short wheelbase and close clearance with no facilities for brakes. It was built for an individual who rode it on the velodrome for a few years. That looks like the original finish and in good condition.

I ended up replacing the headset with a cheap sealed one but had to use the Shimano top cap because not enough steerer. Frame was already ratty when I got it and I have definitely added to that. Lots and lots of paint chip. Also a few spots where the tyre has rubbered the paint away due to the stupidly tight clearances, these spots are also a bit rusty. Also inside of the steerer is a little bit rusty due to the top cap I was using wasn't very sealed. Generally it needs some TLC.

As far as I know the frame is sound structurally. Will double check it when I strip it. Currently has a stripped crank on one side which needs removing, will be sorted tomorrow. So earliest collection will probably be Tuesday.

For now here are some pics of various ways I've built it over the years.

The last one is the newest, will take some detailed pics of the frame later.

    Looking for £225 SOLD

Collection from N1. Collection will have priority over posting as it saves me a lot of effort.

    Cheers, Ben
