Before I started this project, I asked what were the bit she liked and one of the things was this - the trouser guard thingy.
I've fitted the BB, cranks and pedals. (I know the ring is worn out, it's just a placeholder atm)
I had a cunning plan to cut the teeth off this old ring and use it as a chainguard. I forgot, however, to take into account that everything campag is stupid. The cranks are 135bcd, and the old ring is 130 bcd.
I do have a plan B - which is to cut the teeth of this 52T ring
However, I don't know if it will look quite right, since the old chainguard is chunky. This one will be
a) light
b) functional
but I'm not sold on whether it'll look right - I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes out for a worn out 135bcd, chunky ring.
