SOLD - 54cm GT Force

  • SOLD.

I should accept that this bike is too small for me & as such, I never ride it. So now it's up for sale.

    Bike on PedalRoom.

What I have here is a 1999 GT Force in absolutely great condition (still even got original stickers on). I've ridden it about twenty five miles in all, & the previous owner rode it about two hundred, mainly indoors on a turbo/rollers. In the short time that I've ridden it, it performed really nicely, though it could possibly do with a bit of a tune up.

    • 54cm silver lake blue 1999 GT Force.
    • Shimano RSX (3x8) groupset - shifters, derailleurs, chainset.
    • Shimano 300EX brakes.
    • Araya rims on Shimano RSX hubs.
    • GT saddle & Modolo bars.

I paid about £200 for it, so looking for about the same again £195 £190 if that's reasonable.

Preferably pick up in Leeds or Manchester, though posting is an option at the buyer's cost (probably around thirty quid).

Any questions, feel free to ask. I'll get some better pictures up at some point. New better photos!

    Additional measurements.

  • Dibs frameset if you split

  • That is a 100% bargain.

  • Sent a PM :)

  • Bump - if I don't have any more interest over the weekend, I think I'll take this down & post on Facebook instead.

  • Great frames these and really versatile - you wouldn't believe what they're capable of.

  • If only I was moving in somewhere with more space... Gorgeous bike, glws

  • This still up for sale?

  • Price drop bump.

  • It is still for sale!

  • I can't quite see - does this have eyelets for mudguards/racks?

  • It does! I put up some new pictures yesterday which make it easier to see.

  • Price drop bump.

  • Really nice bike but Manc/Leeds/posting too inconvenient for my flatmate sorry!

  • Any more details about the geo? Looks like a largeish 54cm so just wondering what length the top tube is.

    Cheers

  • Sure, I took some yesterday. It probably looks largish because I tried making it fit me (when I usually ride a 58cm - was never going to happen really).

  • What is the rear spacing? Would it take 11 speed set up?

  • It's currently 3x7, not sure on the spacing but I shall check this evening. From a quick google based on the hub, it does seem to suggest 130mm. In the meantime, @TM might know? His is 1x10 I believe.

  • 130mm so you should be okay with x11!

  • It's 130 spaced but happily accepted a 135 deore hub and shifted/rode perfectly.

I'm so surprised this is still here, I'm really not fooling when I say it rides as well as 853.

You might be better off splitting and selling f&f then group and wheels for profit.

  • If you're splitting, and willing to post, I'd take the frameset & headset.
