"Also Oxlade chamberlain to Liverpool seems a bit of overkill, wondering who he displaces in that midfield. Not a replacement for coutinho is he?"
It's a squad game and there are four competitions. AOC's metrics for chance creation passes are good, his pace is good and he can provide cover for the speed merchants up front in Mane and Salah as well cover for Wijnaldum in the middle and also do the wing back that Milner did. He is Milner's long term replacement. His injury record is a concern but then again you could make the point that is an Arsene/Arsenal problem. The fact he opted for a 1/3 pay drop from where he is and turned down the champions to goto Liverpool means something in this day and age. A little time working with Klopp and he'll surprise a few, I think.

IF you wanna have a laugh, check out the Barcelona forum. They're stated that want their directors to get pancreatic cancer!!
I now see why Clive hates them so much. More than a club?! GTFO

Happy about Barkley not coming in, not bothered about Drinkwater, did fancy Llorente as a backup, Batman still not good enough... A big welcome to our new right sided wing back, Frank (Zappacosta)...
They don't want to come cuz they'll be sitting on the bench... And they're scared of winning...

Ah got you. He's a replacement for Milner . Fine.
Llorente question. can't say. But from what I have seen he won't do what janssen does. Llorente is more like Kane. big belief and confidence in his ability. And I reckon he would score goals at spurs

Lots of clubs and players shitting the bed and sticking with what they've got yesterday. Pathetic.
I used to like the days when it was a proper merrygoround.

@Pistanator reports on the Barkley change of mind say he felt pressured by Everton to go to Chelsea as the board didn't want to negotiate/sell to Tottenham.
True? Did Chelsea offer more, with less strings attached, or did the fear of dealing with Levy kick in?
Does this mean Everton recalibrate barkleys worth come January? And Spurs can get him at a cut rate? Or are they still going to hold out for £30m+ -

Was reading he didn't take a pay drop, terms offered by Arsenal was £60k more than liverpools offer, but the Liverpool offer was still £40k more than he was on anyway.. willing to be corrected by @andyp on this.
So he was leaving imaginary money on the table, rather than taking a pay cut. And he's young enough to know if he kicks on there's another big money move in his future.. -

I hope we tell the great, mighty, amazing Barfa to go and fuck themselves in the arse with their cash. It is mind boggling how they act with impunity and are completely beyond reproach the slimy cunts

Feels like your squad is thin, not as thin as ours but still thin for the pressure that's going to come as champions and European competition. And conte's a competitive manager he wants to win everything, so probably won't be doing a wenger in the early rounds of the cups, and abramovich will be applying pressure to do well in the champions league.
Think batshuayi will come good and now conte will have to use him, either as a change of pace striker off the bench or to spell morata.
But looks to me like you swung and missed on more than you hit. If this season doesn't go well, changes at the top @WornCleat -

on current form he could be player of the season in the premiershit this term

He's used to it, played under bielsa at bilbao, obviously was younger then. But we haven't been pressing as much as we used to, the sheriff wants the press to happen at specific points rather than all game long, and we've made a bit more of a transition to a more possession based side, rather than a press and counter attack..
More interested to see how we look when trippier can launch some accurate balls in towards llorente and how janssen works out from under slipping down the pecking order if pochettino won't play him?
there's a lot of shit players moving around.
corndog, you should be happy to get rid of janssen if you are bringing llorente in
