Hm, not sure these are of much interest, or the wrong size for most, but if it's my prices that are off, let me know...

Mate, they're bargains, and people are loving the old school atb/clunker>tourer bike schtick right now. That Dawes is a hipster's wet dream, 531, the unicrown with a sleeve thing looks nice, all the brazeons for luggage... cool. Tempted to have it meself.

Selling my Pine Mountain that I got when I was about 14 is one of my biggest regrets. Rad.

Edited original listing as a very helpful forum member with more still-functioning synapses than me has pointed out it's not a Pine Mountain but a Palisades Trail I think, and from 1992, not 95. I got my Marin Ps mixed up. Sorry about that.

I think these would sell pretty easily on Retrobike - http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 Good luck!

Interested in Dawes but can't find pictures!

I'll have this, if you'll take £40 posted -
Marin Bear Valley, 1995ish
TT CTC 21.5"
ST CTT 19"
CW ritchey logic headset and Shimano sealed BB (I think this could do with being replaced as feels pretty grumbly - odd as I installed it only 2 years ago. I don't have a tool with enough purchase to get it out but I wouldn't consider it 'stuck')
Paintwork v good. Little bit of surface rust on chainstay; not noticeable in use.

Dawes now sold. Thanks!
I have three steel MTB frames I need to part with: two Marins and one Dawes. The Marin Bear Valley was until recently my do-anything utility-ish bike, and did a great job. The Pine Mountain I've never built up, as had bought just before I saw the Bear Valley and decided to go with that instead; the same with the Dawes, as I found an old Muddy Fox which suited me better size-wise for my rebuild in the end.

Marin Palisades Trail, 1992ish
Tange steel - can't remember what type
TT CTC 21.5"
ST CTT 19"
comes with original ritchey logic headset, QR seat clamp and seat post
Paint mainly good but someone has touched up the rear (zolatone) stays with plastikote or something. It's not bad and definitely good to use as is.

Dawes Quest, 1988/89ishSOLDReynolds 531. This was the top of the line for Dawes at the time, I think. Check out those seem-to-be-unicrown-but-are-actually-three-piece forks!
TT CTC 21 t" / 54cm
ST CTT 19.5" / 49.5cm
C to absolute top 19.75" / 50cm
Paintwork original a bit crappy. There are a few scrapes, some surface rust and someone has touched it up with humbrol or something. Still doesn't look terrible though.

All prices + post, which I think should be about £12 to mainland UK; payment by Paypal (+ you pay fees) or PP gift (no-one pays fees). I'm in Norwich so can post wherever, or you're welcome to come and take a look, of course.
