I have a late seventies SC in poor condition. Paint is poor but chrome is pitted.
Please keep updating if you find someone who can re-chrome and repaint it. -

Post a photo please :)
I would leave your as is without seeing the frameset
its keeps the value of the frame and its history intact. -

Argos in Bristol are very good. They know the SC intimately having done a couple for Hilary Stone recently. They talked knowledgeably about the 73mm ITA bottom bracket et al with me - my paint is OK though for now, tho will get them to do it sometime in the future.
Fairly pricey, but absolutely top quality, and won't damage the frame when they strip it (heard of a horror story recently from another place that blasted a hole in the BB!!).
Argos is the only place I'd take my SC.

This project came to an end
frameset is sold and the new owner will restore the frame.
Picked up this late 1960's Cinelli super corsa pista
Previous owner did a horrible restauration 🤷♂️
Why would somebody make restauration Like this ?
No Chrome lugs
Paintjob is super shinny
Which means i must redo the frame
To be continued
