  • ahhhh heaven must be coming back as a Cat!

  • See that one kipping on the table, at the pet rescue centre where we got him the ladies had called him "Jackson" and you get a little biography they give you:

"Hi, my name's Jackson and I may be Black or White but I promise I won't be a Smooth Criminal and Beat It so take me home and I promise I won't be Bad".

    Nutters.

  • wll that was a THRILLER of a story!

  • OMG ! Waaaa thanks! I had not even made the link, thank you <3 . All I need now is to tame a seagull and found a fish. naaaaa

  • Oi, this is a cat thread! ;-) nice bike! I mean nice cat.

He is said to be a white man in his 40s with short brown hair, dressed in dark clothing, possibly with acne scarring to his face. It also says he may be wearing a headlamp or carrying a torch.

    On here ?

  • Bryan Adams innit?

  • Fleur has been nibbling at the spinach today..

  • She is lovely! :-D

  • I had no idea there'd been this many attacks. Full on psycho. But serious question.. if you're inside the M25 are any of you keeping your cats in at nights because of this?

  • This is Chedder, my brothers big blue bastard. He's great fun and very sweet but a massive dick at the same time. He's the polar opposite of Fleur in character.

  • Based in Bromley. Our cats haven't been outside since we adopted them (18 months and counting).

Week before last the cat of the local pizza place (2 min walk) was found with its neck snapped, tail missing and leg sliced open. Police have been leaflet dropping around us for over a year. There must have been at least 5 incidences within a mile of us.

Considering we've got a decent sized house for them to run around in and they have each other for company, I'm not letting them out until he's caught.

  • Jesus! You'd imagine the cops would be all over this. I know it's not humans but what a terrifying pathology!

  • Yeah, I think that sort of behaviour probably worries police a little.

  • Not enough to stop a privately funded autopsy led inquiry from tanking when it ran out of cash apparently.

  • These guys have been working on the case for quite a long time. https://www.facebook.com/South-Norwood-Animal-Rescue-and-Liberty-SNARL-624100301029007/

There is an ongoing police investigation, called operation Takahe. If you come across a cat (and foxes have been attacked in a similar way) the best thing you can do is not call the council, but get in touch with the police so that they can properly determine whether the animal is a victim of the killer or not (council will tend to just collect the body for the rubbish bin).

  • That fucker still at it really hope he fucks up and is put away.

In other cat news, new foster cat today, another street cat, I would take a pic but he is currently hiding behind the toilet.

  • Bloody impossible to get work done at home with two cats, never has a laptop or the keyboard been as comfortable to sleep/sit on.

  • One of our terrors

  • Slow progress with new foster cat still hiding, comes out for food but still not settled in gonna take a while i think.

  • This is my periodical reminder to anyone who is considering taking out pet insurance to NOT go with John Lewis. They seem nice and cheap and whatever at first... except when you need to renew or make any changes to your policy. I have not made a claim in the last policy cycle (12 months) and yet they have increased my monthly payment from £11.32 to £20.61 because I made a claim over 15 months ago for less than £800. They said the increase is also due to the age of Patch, FFS, she is not even 6.

I am jumping ship to Pet Plan who is placing a 2 years exclusion on Patch's pre-existing condition from the last date of treatment (not the date when the policy is taken out) and they are asking for £3 more a month for 4 times the cover (£3000 with JL vs £1200 with Pet Plan), or £2 less for 2.5 times the cover. I think it's a gamble worth taking.
