Gravel kings?

I used Durano for brakeless riding. Not bad, better grip than gatorskins, but less durable. Now I'm using Michelin pro4 endurance, feels faster than the above, looks better too with no silly thread

Marathon supreme

They're thin, expensive, wear out fast and cut up quickly, you'll find out I guess.

4 seasons; used them for close to 10000km, no punctures, one incident on a slick corner in winter with mushy leaves residu and evasive maneuvering.

So been looking at nice wide tyres for my incoming isen. Was hoping to fit strada bianca race but it looks like ill struggle to fit them and mudguards. Has anybody used the Paris roubaix race in 120tpi? Anybody know how wide they actually come out on a 17-18mm internal rim?
-
• #4963
they will come out 30mm+
I have a hardly used pair that was rubbing on the rear brake that you can have for £20.

If you're running brakeless installed, put a Gravel King on the front and a Pasela on the back.
When its wet/damp the Gravel King glues your front wheel to the road. The Pasela on the rear is skid resistant, and grip doesn't suddenly fall off the edge, half way though a big slidey stop in the wet like when riding Gatorskins.
Corner with confidence, and also the tyre logos match nicely as well.
(edit): Been riding this combo for about 6 months after finally getting fed up with with just how poor Gatorskins are. No punctures as of yet on a full time weekly commute.

Is anyone running the Compass 650b 38c or the 650b Gravel Kings at 1.5"? Would like to know what the actual width ends up being? roughly.
-

I have GK, they came in 40mm on a 18mm internal rim

cheers. Do you like the GKs? they seem to be a forum favourite...
But compass is more tan wall and C. Hartley loves them...and I'd listen to her on just about everything.

They are better than compass IMO and cheaper. Compass are supple sidewalls but have dog shit grip. I only use them for commuting occasionally, its on a bike that I don't really need.

Have just discovered http://nextday.bike/home.aspx
Turns out the man that runs it is round the corner from me and his warehouse is a mile away.
I did, and got sick of the punctures. Need something more durable. Also use it for courier work, so lot of glass/sharp objects. But the Gators were tricky in the rain, especially at the front.
