Sad news. Always feels a bit more real when it's on your commuting route and someone of a similar age.
Looking at the picture in the standard it appears to be north of the Brecknock/Camden Road junction, maybe at Hilldrop Crescent, rather than at the junction (at least that is where the road is closed).

Just horrible. Just now my thoughts are with this guy's friends and family.
The first picture on the distressing ES report puts the crash just north of Hilldrop Crescent. The bike and tent are in the northbound lane, although the actual collision may have been on the other side. -

I rode this section on the way home - the picture where the bike & tent is quite far away from the Hill Drop road junction but close to the entrance to Hilldrop Crescent. Still can't understand it.

As posted in the news thread by others, a link to a small story from earlier today in local media and a Met Police witness appeal:

'Cops use “de-arresting” to mean a suspect is released before they have been processed by the custody system. By contrast, releasing someone without charge means they are only freed after they have been through that system.'
From Oliver's first link (Islington Gazette) - for anyone like me who was confused by the term.
RIP Ardian.

Really saddened to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of a fellow cyclist.
