Feast your legs on this...

Thanks Matt for putting this together, you know what they say: Ide-l hands are the devil's workshop
-

If the heavy slow moving scattered showers stay away, I'll probably ride out to Amersham tomorrow and see what that's all about if anyone's interested.
-
• #156
the Chilterns!!!1!
-
• #157
What's happening in Amersham?
-
• #158
No idea, so am going to go find out. Hopefully just pleasant late summer rolling hills
-
• #159
From memory I don't think they are that rolling - there is at least one actual climb I believe. Possibly TWO so, you know, beware etc
-
• #160
I'd normally join you but I've been sabotaged by another nursery incubated throat infection. I'm thinking of buying a cycling mask purely for the school run (the bit inside the school - it's like The Walking Dead in there)!

Give it another 3-4 months and the river of constant illnesses will slow down. Promise.

Thanks for the advice, I was more cautious than I might otherwise have been. There seemed to be a lot of climbs. Many a valley traversed!
Really enjoyed that. I thought Amersham was on the edge of the Chilterns and that the ride was beyond to the north west. As I got to the start it hit me I realised it was Aylesbury that I was thinking of. Amersham is in the middle of the Chilterns. -
• #163
Indeed. It's the Chilterns!!1!
-
• #164
Given my ongoing weak-and-patheticness give me one good reason not to post up Chingford for this week's ride.
-
• #165
And "Chilterns!!1!" is not a reason.
-
• #166
The Mild!!1!*
*appreciate this could also be considered a reason for going, for those with a love of the macabre..

• #167
The Mild!!1!
Ugh, fair enough, Widow Maker it is then.
-
• #168
I can't make this week :(((((((((

Widow Maker it is then.

• #170
I can't think of a reason not to do Chingford but I will be on one of my French expedition :/
-
• #171
Only reason I can think of is that Chingford is closer to the Korean peninsula than Surrey, so has a higher chance of being unridable due to nuclear fallout (ie no good reason). Otherwise, in!
-
• #172
Oh, did I mention we're going to Chingford tomorrow?
-
• #173
Look what I found on my way to Portsmouth... The Directors doesn't taste the same in daylight and without the tnrc crew.

Is it an on week this week? I'm only partially confirmed for tomorrow night if so...

If should be but I haven't got round to thinking about it and I'm feeling pretty under the weather today. What to people fancy? North or South, hills or flat, 'spoons or local pub?
I'm just going to take that at face value and conveniently forget the bastard name of the bastard first bastard hill.
