I think @Breso was asking why you would want a centre pull brake over a standard linear pull one? You would need some sort of head tube cable hanger thing

I wasn't questioning the presence of the brake itself, but more why choosing such bad caliper.
Check at least the total height of the system (caliper, cable stop and minimum straight run of the outer cable from the top).
I assume that if you have a short headtube, with crosstop levers close to the stem, there won't be much room for outers, let alone the huge splitter!
