Looks like a fun bike, but why not consider other options if you're not keen on the drop bars or the paint job? I guess the other geos might not suit as well?

Makes no sense to buy and switch to risers. Just buy a different bike. (Unless you take the brakes straight off and sell, probably get £150 a pair on ere?

Why not find a cable pull one? It'll be cheaper if you intend to run flat bar.

Compass Steilacoom EL.
They're rather fast on road as well! If I hang on to this bike (I have issues!) I am thinking about a set of the 35mm Compass that will do road/dirt better? Maybe run two separate wheelsets.. -

I bought the Verenti Substance II Apex (wiggle in-house brand). It's really, really good. After a fair amount of looking I don't think it's possible to get more bike for the money at ~£1k mark. Sram Apex 1, WTB tyres and rims, carbon fork, absolutely perfect for me. V excited to do a few longer rides on it. Would like another set of wheels for dedicated road rides though so I don't have to do tyre swapping (37s over 80 miles? Fuck that).
Also the orange colour is about 10x better in real life.

What's wrong with 37s over that kind of distance? I've ridden 40s far further than that.
