Fuck I'm old.

Hexagon are always lol. They regularly have cars unsold for a couple of years or more. I guess they figure that eventually the market will catch up. And eventually it will.

Regardless of Hexagon's pricing, I think I may be a little optimistic. Within 2k of the value of mine, I can afford a 530d or 530, not sure I'll be able to stretch to a 540.

What's yours? The MX5? I get confused...

Oh sorry, I have a 2003 525d Touring as well, the sensible car.
It's pokey in the right part of the rev range but it could be better.

Any recommendations for a dash cam under £50?

Mercedes E class estate,
W124 are big enough to take a fridge-freezer, quite slippery, not wonderful on fuel but probably better than the barn door-like 240.
W210s even bigger and more aerodynamic (better on fuel?), but really like to rust
W211s more of the same, and W212s much much better made. -

Cheers yeah i guess i needed to go see it twice to be able to swallow em as they dident seem to go all the way down first..
If i could take that cost right now, 1-2k a year, id make the deal!
Id be pretty happy with that as i think very little value loss on these cars in the foreseeable future, if any at all. Possibly a chance for increase even. And @Dammit
But he did go with the Maserati tho .) -

+1
My mpg record was 38 but 32 was standard. That was in a 1994 e220, one of the less thirsty engines I think

Understandably, if it was the sexy-rear-light-version.

Boomerang lights, yes.
-
• #36516
After having a bit of a read around you can fit boomerang lights on the later 4200.

Mk1 v70 can. 5 bikes, 5 adults, then on the roof we had a few extra wheels and two other people's luggage in giant soft bag ratchet strapped to the bars. Glasgow to Bristol at speed abd still did 45 to gallon. Much nox and soot though...

That's the one that's essentially an 850, right?
FWD, whiteblock?
I don't want to fall down a Dammit hole..... -
• #36519
The first V70 was an 850 with some new body panels (front wings, bonnet, bumper) and a bunch of Ford parts in a fresh interior. It is indeed a FWD white block, although there was also an AWD version - which @coldharbour has an example of.

500kg or so of mill in the boot last week.
Still not able to touch a 240 though.

Impressive! The extraction as well as the carry. Nice mill.

Also used the car in conjuction with an engine hoist to get it in the workshop. Clutch control level: wreckless

@Dammit some NOS 850 parts on a volvo forum. Really random stuff, mostly unlikely to be of use, but you never know.

Thanks- nothing in that list for me but appreciate the thought.
Alternatively I could do an EGR delete and remap and see what happens. I'd rather just get a faster can than start modding the sensible car though.
