Blair has been claiming £3million a year from the taxpayers for the past 10 years for his personal security.

Time will tell if he ever gets a knighthood, but there is a hidden message in his current lack of one ;-)

The "hidden message" in Blair not getting a knighthood is that the Queen is a 80+ year old woman and about as far to the right as you can expect. Same reason that neither of the two living labour prime ministers got invited to the recent royal wedding; the royal family is as Tory as you get.

@dst It's TOTALLY his decision to use upto £3M/yr. No other ex-PM has ever come close to his £30M binge at your expense.
