• 30c and guards should be fine BUT that is dependent on rim, guard and tyre choice.

Sounds stupid, but anyone who's ever spent time measuring various tyres on various rims will know that these measurements are generic statements of intent, not actual measurements.

I have run panaracer 32c under my city pdws, and 30c g ones no problem, this was with hed Belgium rims.

  • Sorry, I misunderstood what you were replying to.

The mill is small but still very heavy, and was not tied down in any meaningful way, so if I had crashed it would have squished me between whatever was in front of me and not moving. Car, wall, engine etc... In hindsight it was a dick move, luckily nothing bad happened.

Magic Mike is an old friend of mine who runs a removals company. I usually use him to move my stuff as he is so massive he can sometimes just pick them up with his bare hands. When I reorganised the workshop he actually kicked the Mills into place.

If anyone is ever moving in London I strongly reccomend magic Mike, he is a gee.

  • Wow. Whataguy! What did his parents feed him?

  • I showed customer 025, bike 001: she says it's gorgeous, but would have preferred more green.

    I know, right?

  • Green accessories are available.

  • (although not recommended)

  • I don't want to live in a world, where coloured tyres are the answer.

  • @coldharbour will have a meltdown!

  • Coloured tyres = deposit returned.

  • Other humans I think...

  • minus 50% interest for bad tastes

  • Most likely stupid question but with the 49cm and its 650 wheel, shall I go short cage derailleur? I am going with a more roady setup with with an easy gearing. Most likely 50/34 with 11/28 at the back.

  • Just sent an email through to Verity to see if it isn't too late for my 55cm frame (no. 4) to be made without cable stops. I plan to run R8070 if it ever gets released.

  • Totally up to you, frame won't constrain it.

  • She has told me, drawings amended.

  • Have modified the tube not her design so it doesn't need centring for different tube diameters.

  • Head tube cut is held in place with replaceable dummy tube. Pivots around 10mm bar, springs just to stop it flopping around.

  • I dont know what i am looking at.

  • Something to hold the tube in phase (ie make sure both cuts are taken in line with each other) before clamping.

  • Just wish to check there is no way to get the junction box installed into the top tube?

  • You mean that one for carbon frames? Cutting that much out of a steel down tube and replacing it with something almost entirely not structural isn't going to happen I'm afraid :(

  • “She had........ A WOMAN'S HANDS!“

Caren has bent the head tube badges to perfectly match the head tube OD.

  • No crabon insert tube?

  • Nice to see the real hands behind Hartley

  • Is there enough clearance in the rear for a postmount caliper+adapter or will I have to go flatmount. Frame is 55cm
