Removing broken ultegra gear cable

Was wondering why all of a sudden my bike was shifting like shit, then all of a sudden stopped shifting at all. Peel back the hoods and am greeted with the image below.

Problem is now, how do I remove the rest of the cable? I can't push it out because the cable is broken or see the end of the cable.

This is why ultegra have that release flap.

Put shifter into highest gear and the cable end comes out on the other side.

Ah sorted thanks, put it in highest gear and managed to use pliers to pull this mess out

It was much harder on previous STIs as the cable would fray inside and not having the release flap it would be difficult to get the lever back into highest gear.

Went to swap the power meter onto the other bike for club run tomorrow and now got a torx bolt that won't budge ffs 🙄
