Only my second single speed build but could not resist the frame and fork which I bought here last summer.
Finally got around to building this up, with all new parts, and the full spec is below the photo's. It cost me £325 in total to build, so before I run the eBay gauntlet I thought I see if anyone on here is looking for a sorted steel, single-speed mountain bike and if I can break even and get £325 for it? 🙂
Specs
Genesis IO steel frame (small) Bike set up got meat 5'9" and I would say that is the max. Range is probably 5'3" to 5'9"
On-One rigid steel mountain bike forks
Clarks M2 hydraulic brakes
Charge Spoon saddle
Truvativ chain-set
FSA headset
Generic carbon seat post and bars
Rockbros pedals
A2Z single-speed conversion
I took the stickers off the 26" wheels when I first bought them, and now cannot remember what they are! I got them in a Chain Reaction sale for about £100, down from £180 if I remember correctly, but there is no info on the hubs or rims. If anyone knows what they are please let me know. 🙂
Rides very smoothly and will throw in a spare set of inner-tubes and slick tyres.
I live in East Yorkshire, but travel down to London most weeks so can post for £20 or meet up in King Cross area.
