  • Well that escalated quickly.

  • @Backstop and @Jules, I'm paranoid now. Will have to check my bibs haven't turned see through or have a gaping hole in the bum or something...

  • You should probably ditch the 'Honk if you bonk' t-shirt too.

  • Uhm...accidentally/on purpose broke off a Bentleys wing mirror with my musette (with D lock inside) after they passed me with no more than 10 cm gap going 35mph... am i pleased with myself? A bit, but i feel a bit bad

sorry bentley driver, you are a twat but you didn't deserve that.

  • Were the trees and pavement also trying to avoid being snapped?

  • Soz wut?

  • Joggers on the embankment cycle higway at way at the place near road works blocking view and hoarding everyone together. Coming round a blind bend with 3 on my right and weaving between another 3 and 2 abreast overtaking each other. Yes, you were right i did ring my bell at you.

  • Had a really bizarre encounter this morning. Got the train in and was waiting at the ped crossing at Ludgate Circus. A guy walks his bike towards me crossing the opposite way, straight towards me. He walks all the way up to me, slows and nudges his wheel into my leg and shouts "seriously?!".
Me: wtf, you walked into me man! Walk around me.
Him(angry, gesturing): I'm walking this way.
    Me: ????

Fucking odd. The pavement was empty all around me too. I hope he doesn't ride like he walks.

  • Had some fella on 'baby's-first-cycle-commute' trying to draft me all the way from Peckham to Elephant and Castle this morning, which I really dislike because the surrey canal path is rammed with peds all over the place and the Lycra heroes doing dodgy overtakes trying to break the land speed record. At some lights I politely told him to back off, that what he was doing is drafting and that we aren't on a race course/ it's dangerous etc. His chipper reply was "yes I know I'm drafting, I'm saving energy on my commute". When the lights turned green I just waited for him to reluctantly pass me so I could go on my own way, as he passed he looked REALLY pissed off smh.

  • Herne Hill / Dulwich smells of toe jam.

Also saw a gent doing pink Fridays proud. Shocking pink suit with pink hair just to top it off.

  • Your personal safety > rich twat's stupid car. Don't feel bad in the slightest.

  • Can you see what he sells please

    Dick pics, I assume

  • Me vs car turning right from otherside yesterday. Now in A&E, woke up to pain on the right side from knee to shoulder. CAAD9 bit the dust. Trying to figure out what to do next. The joys...

  • I'm saving energy on my commute

    Pseuds Corner >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Thanks, just reading up on that. I didn't do most of what was listed.

  • Brings a tear to my eye looking at the bike :(

  • Sorry to hear this :(

  • So I called the driver up on the intention of working this out between us, figuring he wouldn't want the hassle of insurance claims. But he then went on to state that it was my fault and that he's not liable, and that I'm lucky he's not chasing me up on damages to his car. Great start to the bank holiday weekend.

  • Fuck him, insurance the lot. Report to the police

  • That's the plan. Didn't want to make a fuss, just wanted costs for new frame and anything else that can't be salvaged covered, but he then scolded me for overtaking station vehicles on the inside, ignoring the fact I was on a cycle lane and he was cutting across traffic to turn right.

  • Insurance the lot, when he notices he won't get away with it and then wants to negotiate remind him you offered and shove the new higher bill right up his ass.

  • Have at him, Shing. Ricky sent me the pics of the bike, such a shame it's knackered but lucky you're sort of ok...

Definitely get solicitors involved. Do you have British cycling membership? Is Leigh Day still the forum approved solicitors? Have you reported it to police?

  • Contacted a few solicitors that came up Google to discuss the case. Will need to decide who to go with but will check out the forum approved one if there is one. Unfortunately not a member of any organisation but now thing I will look to it. Assuming the misses can stomach me getting back on the bike.
