If you want to do it on the cheap and aren't fussed about looks then grab yourself an older Stronglight 99bis/80/100/200 chainset with an 86mm BCD. (Sugino and Sakae also did the same BCD just not as common).
You can fit anything down to a 28T, I still use my 99bis and have used it with 10 speed no problems whatsoever. You can also fit them up as a triple.
Alternately you can squeeze a 33T ring onto a bog std 110mm compact, not ideal but gets you an extra 3% lower gear compared to a 34t
