Much as I'd love to think Ron has been pulling the wool over Ann's eyes (and pulling something else), Virgin do have a track record for not doing enough to stop viewing card cloning and denying that it is possible after it happens.
One of my old neighbours managed to run up a £100 porn bill on Virgin while being in the USA. Virgin insisted that somebody must have been home to make the orders when that was clearly not possible.
Of course, Ron might just have been playing the trouser flute on the sly.
