stepped back into his path as he tried to go around her back. Perhaps he thought that she would carry on walking and changed direction.
This happens a lot no ?
I have been in that situation where the pedestrian suddenly appears in your path - realises the imminent danger and reflexly turns back to where they had set off from rather than continue their original direction.The cyclist hasn't time to foresee this and has already committed to an evasive direction.
Happens to two pedestrians on the pavement as well doesn't it ?
