  • Good interview with mechanic at LMNH on R4 Today program this morning. Balanced. Informative. Non judgemental. Well done. Not easy in the emerging excitement in the media

  • LMNH bloke talking about introducing bike MOTs... Bike shop says more money should be spent at bike shops.

None of this helping the other 399+ pedestrians killed in 2016

  • And sounds like they are talking to Kim Briggs later (after 8am).

    Er, you sure?

  • Sorry, I meant Matthew (the husband) of course.

  • cool. i fully expect the next motoring fatality to be discussed at length, live from South Mimms service station.

collective responsibility justifying, thin end of the wedge bollocks. fuck that shit, sky high.

  • The interview with Matt Briggs on R4 a little earlier is definitely worth a listen.

It was balanced, sensible, and compassionate.

It was on at 08:10 and I guess will be available through 'listen again' at some point.

  • Really ? I been doing my best to avoid it all.

  • fairplay, are you going to pay to watch ?? have to admit in circus daft event kind of interesting but the levels of shit talk and hype in the cause of a cash pay out has put me off. Have to tip the McGregor to climbing up to the level he has achieved.

  • Alliston Briggs collision being discussed on radio London. A lot of what's being said by host/callers contradicting each other and what ive read in this thread about facts of the case..

  • so looks like the did the test on a wet surface with a known stop point, not exactly a fair test in my opinion.

  • He was surprisingly good and held it together well. I thought he was extremely diplomatic when asked to comment on the cyclist's apparent lack of remorse!

  • BBC is now the daily mash

  • Serious fecking witch hunt for cyclists on radio London. Lots of drivers calling in, some talking absolute nonsense. Gah

  • Seems excessive

  • Bit harsh, but does serve them right for being swots.

  • I only hope that's not what was presented in court.

  • Y he no DAS?

  • do know at about what time this was? would love to listen

  • hartley cycles on womans hour r4 currently

  • this might be the worst thing i've ever read.

  • BBC breakfast talked at length about the Alliston case whilst showing Lucas Brunelle footage, with no explanation as to what it was or how it was linked to the case. I was also confused by the wet road they were testing the braking distances on. Also, no sick whip skids shown in the police video. Was it wet on the day of the accident?

  • It's 4 years old as someone pointed out. Popped up on twitter. There will be more of that sort of guff.
