Windblock jersey is great if you're not going flat out. Perfect for pootling, as you'd expect i suppose.
I wouldn't call miles of riding into block headwinds loaded down with panniers pootling, but it depends on the temperature and wind conditions I think...
I wouldn't go out for a normal weekend ride in it at this time of year for sure.
I wore my ls one for a few 2hr rides in spring and didn't get on with it. Then did 6 hours in the Scottish Highlands and it made more sense.
