Doing it right.
Chelsea have one English player (Cahill) who is likely to play this season. I'm all for minimum quota of homegrown.
Also Rooney retires from England to concentrate on Everton. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41027204

5 English, 3 Irish, 1 Welsh, 1 Icelandic and 1 Belgian for our last two starting line-ups.

10 of the 11 who finished the game for boro against Sheffield United were born in Britain. The other was born in Ireland.

I thought he retired before the Euros.
He just didn't have the heart to tell anyone and went on the pitch anyway.

How long is it going to take them to realise that they're just another shithouse Championship team who are right where they deserve to be. The league is full of teams with histories that mean fuck all - Forest, Sunderland, Preston, and obviously most deservingly of all, Ipswich, all have claims to be below where they 'should' be.
Leeds are far down on that list, and they're cunts. Chris Wood owes them fuck all, and the arrogance of that article says a lot. Has he forgotten they were in League One more recently than the PL?

Everton dominated innit? Last team to field a black player IIRC.
Maybe Pisti can remind us of Gordon Lee's comments.....

Any suggestions for a pub centralish that shows football and has decent food? If I'm being forced to watch Liverpool tonight I at least want something decent to eat.

Yep, love it. Rooney plays ace for 3 games so all the bells at the FA get their cocks out, Southgate rings, Rooney says gets fucked I wanna play for my club!

Something I'm proud of yet not a sniff of a mention until 3 days later by the oh so predictable media
Everton started with 8 English players v City, the highest number since 1996
You didn't look very hard. Mentioned in the post game report on Monday http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40920114 and also in the BBC live text feed during the game.

Plus Tuchel has form for falling out with his club hierarchy too.

Liverpool's 3rd goal was v nice. Mane looking sharp
-
• #137672
these seem to be all the rage currently
i really don't get playing mane on the left and salah on the right
the one on one chances they had last night were always on their wrong foot, and thus shanked skewed and mishit
we could have had at least an extra goal if they were playing down their correct flanks and taking the slim chances on their correct footsort it out klopp

Good to be back in the big time. We still need a defender so should accept 150million for Coutinho and spend half of it on a decent one
-
• #137674
Dowell still playing well?

Everton are playing the reserves in the league cup.
Although Simon Grayson has them playing quite well at present.
On what we can see it seems a daft move. Who knows what is actually going on tho.
