In that case, I'm definitely holding out for some bigger discounts on the S-type ones they're trying to flog off...

• #8428
it is developed with a passion for excellence and with the highest focus on details.
the NGeco power meter offers you +/- 2 % precision
dynamically calibrated to guarantee a precision of +/- 1%
-
• #8429
2% is the ngeco, 1% is for the NG
-
• #8430
Well that's embarrassing...
-
• #8431
What's the diff between S, NG and NGeco in layman's terms?
-
• #8432
S type on sale already good price @danstuff says will still be cheaper. What I like is not USB but battery, no Bluetooth don't care. But does not have left/right power that NG has. I think I might need?
I'm not Eco and never will be so don't know.
-
• #8433
Ooh, USB charging. Never thought about that but it would've allowed me to recharged the P2M during TABR. As it was I ran out of battery with a few days to go.
-
• #8434
With all the stopping you do probably.
-
• #8435
Dibs on yours if you sell. Compact innit?
-
• #8436
No race, no talk.
-
• #8437
I won't sell it. It'll just go on another bike.
I do have a few sets of Rotor cranks I should sell, but no PMs. -
• #8438
But does not have left/right power that NG has. I think I might need?
You won't. Absolutely pointless metric unless (according to @Dammit) you need it to get your saddle at the right height. Personally I use a tape measure or some electrical tape to do that job. And anyway, it's not a real LHS/RHS split, but some made-up number which assumes that all the power on the downstroke is due to one leg. Which it isn't. So it's a useless number that isn't even right.

Type S: 2540N battery, no bluetooth, 2% accuracy, L/R split
NG: USB charging, bluetooth, 1% accuracy, L/R split
NGeco: 2540N battery, bluetooth, 2% accuracy, L/R split by upgrade but not as standard. Other useless metrics also available by upgrade. -

So this new one has Bluetooth, that's it basically? Meh.
NG was slightly tempting until I saw the price difference. -

Any new crank based systems on the horizon for use with SISL2 cranks yet?
Not interested in these:

• #8442
New, no. But my P2M works nicely with my SISL2 cranks.
-
• #8443
With different chainrings, not the spiderings?
-
• #8444
Yes. Got Praxis rings on that one, I think.
-
• #8445
If you want to keep spidey then pedal or arm based PMs are the way, obvs.
I wouldn't expect a 'dale compatible PM to be cheap because they aren't exactly going to ship them in volume.
I have a 'dale SRM I don't need any more if you are on the look out.

Get a pair of garmin vectors. One pedal for you, one for stoker. L/R balance will give you the load split So you can see how much harder you're working at the front ;)

Heard back from 4iii: " The Omnium has a channeled back preventing it from supporting PRECISION."
-
• #8448
Smart. Then I need an iPad attached to the back of my jersey to broadcast said data to stoker.
-
• #8449
How bad do you want power... I got a Stages Rival arm for £210 during last years black Friday sales. You could stick one of those or the 4iiii [probably] on the S300 [https://www.bike24.com/p229035.html] which basically uses a rival arm.
-
• #8450
Yeah, probably my first choice is to pick one of those up second hand as they are discontinued now - you aren't selling are you? (am presuming either this or the newer SRAM Stages will work with any GXP bottom bracket, Omnium or S300)
